Rocky Mountain Forest Products (RMFP) was founded in 1975. The company originally began producing wooden boxes and crates. Then it progressed to manufacturing toy and window parts. This in turn led to making high-quality wooden fencing and supplying clear lumber to moulding manufacturers. RMFP soon decided to begin manufacturing small pattern lineal mouldings, specializing in this niche within the total moulding industry.

Today, Rocky Mountain is one of the nation's leading manufacturers of solid lineal pine mouldings. In the year 2000, RMFP produced and shipped over 141 million lineal feet of mouldings. To put this into perspective, this is approximately 26,500 miles, enough to encircle the earth with solid lineal mouldings.
